Pavement Preventative Maintenance.
An idea whose time has come.

Pavement Preservation saves you money. Carefully choosing and timing surface treatment maintenance to light or moderately distressed pavements can greatly increase their life.

A damaged pavement frequently receives only crack repairs. These small cracks, caused by water infiltration during the winter months, by general traffic, and by exposure to the elements, are often the root cause of bigger problems.

The Best Bang for the Buck in the Highway Maintenance Business.

  Random Crack Repair
Compressed air together with a blow pipe, a gas powered air-broom, or self-propelled sweeper removes dirt, debris, and water from cracks. The cracks are cleaned. A pressure hose line and applicator shoe applies sealer to the pavement surface. When traffic requires immediate use of the roadway, an aggregate applied over the repaired crack prevents sealer pickup.

  Crack Sealing
An inexpensive routine maintenance treatment that significantly delays roadway deterioration. Asphalt cement fibers and flexible rubberized asphalt sealant bond to crack walls. The bond moves with the pavement, preventing water from entering the road base. This extends road life and greatly reduces maintenance costs.

By fighting roadway deterioration, you can cut your maintenance costs significantly.

Shallow Recessed Overband is used to delay deterioration in newly paved surfaces

  Saw & Seal
An abrasive blade makes a saw cut at the edge of the concrete mix. Hot poured rubberized asphalt sealant seals the saw cut, controlling joint reflectance and preventing the new joint from opening up.

Overlaid pavements are saw cut 1/2" wide in ratio to the depth of the overlay.

  Rout & Seal
We rout, and dry along the joint between the Portland cement concrete pavement and the asphalt concrete shoulder. We clean the area of debris. We dry and seal with hot poured rubberized asphalt sealant that lays flush with the pavement.
